Peaceful Practices

Yogis from all around the world can start by committing to a weekly practice dedicated towards peace. This action will in turn deepen the yoga practice and support Peace in the World.
Here are some examples of weekly practices:
Physical peace; practice hatha yoga 3 times a week, eat fresh organic foods, fruit fast for a day, ride bikes vs. drive, eliminate one of your physical vices for a day, get a massage, walk after meals
Emotional/Mental peace; peace comes from within, meditate daily, start with 5 min. address what is in the way of your happiness, smile often, calm the mind and body, take time to relax, recharge your batteries. enjoy warm baths, follow your bliss, cuddle with animals & people, create a gratitude list, take a 3 day vacation in nature
Environmental peace; spread environmental consciousness by how your live and what you buy, support green products, local organic food, reduce plastic bags, plastic silverware, packaging, animal products, share your practice yoga outside, plant trees, compost, carpool
Social peace; create a space where people can be inspired, cook a meal for a neighbor, celebrate diversity, support youth in need, help people in need, be friendly and shine, send a letter of praise to an enemy, accept people for how they are and love them, touch peoples hearts, inspire them with your kindness
Political peace; educate yourself on topics that you care about, share your views with others, see the good from all sides, be as open to listening as you are to sharing your views, voice your opinions to lawmakers and leaders
Spiritual Peace; be in harmony with the laws of nature, let the form of religion support the formlessness of spirituality, at your deepest level you already now your divinity, work to know thy self, accept what is and know that all things change
